In January 2021 he and Frankie MacDonald will be hosting and co hosting the Dylan and Frankie Show. When I see Dylan, I see someone who works hard. He already has three jobs, so I'm gonna ask him what keeps him going. What is his motivation? What is his drive and where does he and how does he maintain his sense of positivity? Join me in my conversation today with Dylan Attack. I'm Brian V. And this is why we work today. Have the great pleasure of speaking with Dylan. Attack. Good evening, young man. Hello. Thanks for having me, Brian Dylan. Thank you. I know it's your Sunday evening there. I think you were saying you were watching a movie. I truly appreciate you coming on and doing this for me. Would you be able to give us a brief introduction of of you, and then I'll ask you some few questions, maybe bring you back a little bit? Yeah, for sure, sir. I'm him tonight. I left you on him to Ontario, born and raised. And, um, I love the city. Great city. I work with the Hamilton Tiger Cats of the Canadian Football League, and I'll be doing, uh, that for 15 years. Sound. I help out ideo the equipment. I'm equipment assistant for the Tiger Cats. And then I asked the hop out with the Hamilton Bulldogs Ontario Hockey League team, which is the other poor spots team here in the city. And I follow the mass got around on game days. I'm his security guards. So I've been doing that for about 17 seasons now. So 17 years? Yeah, Dylan. That's great. Keep going, then. Yeah, my spell. And then And then I also look at the movie theater called Cineplex. I've been there for nine years now, and ah, yeah, I have tickets and I clean the theaters area. And then in my spare time, I'd like to reach out to celebrities and and, uh and and I've met a lot of famous people like Prince Harry and the Queen of England. You're a word that comes my mind when I hear you say these things. Dedication. So So you have a dedication work. You're talking 17 years and won position 15 years, nine years, And then now you're getting into online celebrity interviews and that sort of thing. Dylan, what was what was Maybe maybe one of these were What was your very first job that you've ever received? Getting out of the house and doing something, whether it's volunteer or for a dollar? Well, my first job when I got, uh, I started when I first started getting out of the house. When I was about 13, I started on my bike. I...

...started riding my bike down the stadium, down to the down the tight hats. And after, when Bob beyond bought the team, Yeah, he brought me in under his wing. And, uh, and then, uh, and then I And then a couple years later, I got my first job at washing dishes at the end zone. Bond grow here in Hamilton. And, uh, then I moved on from there, and then I went thio to seven o'clock Shots were being ever since and then helping off the Thai cats on the boat docks. So why did you get out of the house on your bike and going over the tie cat stadium or even washing dishes at the Baron Grill? What? What got you out of the house? Yeah, I wanted to. I wanted to get more active on and? And why did you discover things when I was growing up? Right. And I'm glad, and I'm glad I did. Um, and it's got to mean to a lot of places. So is this part of your own motivation or is there family saying, Hey, Dylan, why don't you go out and try this? Where where is it kind of motivation, Your own motivation, your own your own aspirations toe to do something different. So you actually you Oh, these are the pictures of the people that you met. Yeah, Prince Harry. Prince Harry. All right. You got a spine jersey from Sid. That's where I'm from. Nova Scotia, not far from Dartmouth. Their coal harbor where he's from sentence sackful signs hockey. Stick by him. Stick by. Sid me meeting Prince Harry. Then leave the prime Minister of Canada. Do you get nervous? Do you get nervous? Do you get nervous when you meet these people? Dylan? No, never. No. Over. So I've come. I've come Thio come to getting used to it. Getting used to it that the queen? Yeah, that's the queen. Yeah. Given the flowers down here, Judge. No, I didn't meet Judge Judy. She just sent me an autograph. And then Hillary duck. And then over here, I got Betty White, Betty White. Everyone loves Betty White. Then Alex Trebek, You gotta It's too bad that he passed this year. Yeah, he was a big tie, Captain, actually, is a Canadian gradski. And over here, richest Robin and re just passed this year's well, didn't he? Yes, he did. And yeah, that's my That's my, uh that's my celebrity room. You got it. You got a nice and neat celebrity room. That's a nifty celebrity room. Yeah, and and, you know, you know, the toughest part you know this year with, you know, with the pan, you know, with the pandemic happening, right, You know, I've, you know, because, you know, I'm very sociable, you know? I love get up in the community, you know, with the Thai cats and Bulldogs. And what can I put the show? And no, it's been really tough. But you know what? You know who's really touched my life? Frankie MacDonald. Well, it's funny you bring up Frank, because I wasn't really going to bring him up directly, But I had the opportunity of interviewing him. And then a day or two later, he wrote me and said interview, Dylan attack and like what? But yeah, you and you and Frankie have hit it off and you guys have yourself something coming up to you guys. I mean, you you guys were doing it now, so I don't know. You know, the big debut will be in January. The Dylan and Frankie Show on cable 14. Yeah, Table 14. But you guys air. You guys air rocking it out now, so I don't know what? Yeah, yeah. I mean, like, I...

...mean, like, we So I I when I first met Frankie, Uh, my friend Wendy MacDonald. She's to live out in Frankie's area, so she got connected with Frankie and I. So then, Frank, you sent me one. His book. So, uh, decided for me. Saw? Yes. So I am. Um so a couple weeks later, we started zooming back in the summertime and I said, We set ourselves. You know what? Let's make some use out of this and let's have some fun with that. And let's try be not reaching out to celebrities and see what they want to come with us, you know, and see if they wanted to do with the best weatherman an entire ward. So? So if if he's taking on the credit of being the best weather man in the world What What is your niche? What is your What is your? My niece is my niece is the celebrity hook up? It's better you didn't say celebrity gossip. That's good. The celebrity hook up. That's good. You got the celebrity hook up with the best weather man in the world. So I do all the emailing and then and then I am. And then if whoever response back you have a response back and says, Yeah, we want to signify you, Dylan and Frankie. I say Frankie was going through this person at this time. Frankie is ready to go. When you zoom, you always shows up his barber, Hades. And I was I'm the one that takes the screenshots. Yeah, you need to get yourself about. You get all the same, um, merchandise that Frankie has because Frankie is a promoter, right? Hey, loves promoting. So you, why don't you have your own bobblehead? I mean, he has a bobblehead in an action figure. I mean, not even should tell Frankie to call his buddy down in Texas that he keeps saying that makes it. Yeah, there's there's no doubt about it. I mean, tell Frankie Frankie will get you haul hooked up with that. Yes. And then and maybe your own book of you know how to hook up with celebrities the right way. Cool, Right, Because you guys air hooking up with a lot of people that even top television You know, interviewers have difficulty hooking up with But you guys, are you guys air getting in there a lot? So the work that you're doing now, specifically with the Hamilton Tiger Cats and the Bulldogs and maybe even the cineplex that might be even closed today. How? How are things with your work that you do with the pandemic? Yeah. Thanks for asking. So yeah. So cineplex, uh, eso When the pandemic started, Let's happened back in March when everything started closing down. I got you know, I we were laid off a couple of months and and was still lay. I'm still laid off the the you know, we opened back in our gas on. Then we, um Then we they brought back 15 staff only because because it was it was very limited staff then and then, uh, back a couple weeks ago, Ham Hamilton went into the red zone, so they had to shut down the theaters again. Okay, so there's no no sign up at the moment. I'm hoping in the new year I'll be back there. Like when things hopefully get back to where they say that 2021. Hopefully, it will be a much better here. So let's cross our fingers for that. And for the Tiger Tiger Cats. How it is their schedule. Look for all that's going on. Well, tag, that's way didn't have. We didn't have a season at all this year at all this year, there was another was talk about them doing a bubble a bubble but that you know they needed. They needed some federal government help to, you know, to get all that rolling. But things fell apart there on that end. So they end up...

...canceling the season, and now the very the whole. They're very hopeful, and and I'm optimistic that we'll be able to go in 2021. The schedules already released Great Cups coming to Hamilton in 2021. So hopefully you know wants to you know more as the same old vaccines come available. Hopefully, uh, will be ready to go. What about the players themselves? Are they just required to exercise and stay fit on their own or the teams having some minor practices? Eso um, like the local guys here that's being like a couple of going in, going in and with, like, supervised walkouts like there's about, like five of them. I think I'd go in and walk out, but, um, yeah, the the rest of the guys are just at home because most of them are from the state. So they can't cross the borders here. So what about the Bulldogs and their hockey season hockey season for bulldogs? Um, I know that they're hoping to start up and you know, there was talk about them. Hopefully start up in February, so we'll see if that happens. We'll see if that happens. But it all depends on, you know, with the pandemic saturation at that point. Frankie F. Frankie E. No, you're Frankie Show the Dylan and Frankie shows coming up. So it's good that you have that because your jobs that you're working are really affected by Cove. It Yeah, for sure. So it's bean. It's like I say it's bean. A blessing? Uh huh. Thio getting to do that, you know, a soon as like as soon as like when Frank and I started in into celebrities, the local Frankie's local People, the Chronic or The Chronicle Herald Uh, and Cape Breton Post picked up on picked up on a story and they did a story on us. And then then my local paper did a story on us, and then the the local cable 14 cable 14 station. They wanted to do a short of it. So we've had a Yes. So Harmony is our director producer, and so I always send over the emails and let him know who we have. Slowly wise. I want that. Want to talk to us and, uh, yes. So you have the first show airs in January, January the seventh. Like I said, when I hear of what you're doing, it reminds me of the word dedication because you're being decades into your work. And I'm sure with this new thing that you're doing, how long have you been on social media? I guess that would give you some. Makes us some idea of your experience with this. Yeah. I mean, I've been on social media now for about over 10, 15 years now, in 15 years, so you're not totally new to it. But this with your own show, the cable 14 show that's coming up. And you and Frankie, you're on almost every day zooming one another and and other people what is difficult about this whole. Maybe not the pandemic part of it, but just the social media aspect about what you're doing and what you and Frankie you're creating. So I think the most I mean, I mean, like, the most hardest part. I mean to say I think and no more damn like and no more times like I'm used to going out, you know, used to going out and being very social. So and you know, and but, you know, being, you know, stuck in the house the last couple months, it's, you know, it's kind of kind of stunk, but you know what? It's bean. If there's anything that's come out of 2020 something good wise, it's bean getting to know Ah, lot more about Frankie and Frankie. Such a true...

...inspirational to the autism community. And he truly sets truly, truly means a lot to me as well. You bring up autism, So can you give us an idea from your perspective as well? The challenges that someone faces with autism? Uh, because I don't think that you face any, and I don't think Frankie face any that this is like, this is the point Yeah, I know. I know that I know that there's some I know that there's some, you know, kids and some adults with it that have, like, severe, like they can't talk that, you know, you know, hopefully get, you know, it shows, like other parents or others with autism, you know? Hey, these guys are inspirational. I wanna be like freaking Dylan. And I'm glad to use the word inspirational because that's what I That's why I wanted to interview you. That's when Frankie mentioned you. I wasn't aware I was in the I knew Frankie for years in that from Nova Scotia, and I always found it an inspiration that he was just going. And if you know, people have lots of excuses of why they you know, I hurt myself or, you know, maybe I lost my job. But what you're saying is, with you or Frankie or other people in all of our communities, we can look to other people for inspiration. And I think that's what you're doing. A wonderful job off. Yes, thank you. And the free. Yeah. Frank and I, you know, even have to win this pandemic ends like I know that I'll be going back to tie cats and, you know, going back to the theater and looking for two dio and all that stuff. But frankly, I won't. Frank and I won't stop resuming with the celebrities were still keep on going. I know that we're trying. I'm trying, really. I'm trying really hard on my side of things to get the prime minister on the talk to Frankie and I. I know there's a couple of Frankie's looking piece I have already said to the prime minister's office. Hey, you gotta talk to Dylan and Frank. You say hi toe height of them. So, Dylan, what is, Ah, satisfaction you get about Maybe the interviews that you're doing, What is it? Maybe even this will inspire other people, because I know nowadays, podcasts are booming. There were there were booming a little bit before covitz started. But people are getting to be encouraged to spread their own message, whatever it is they're doing, whether positivity or specifics to sports or something along those lines, what sort of satisfaction are you getting out of this experience on podcasting? It's been getting its been getting to know the other side. The the other side of the story, like the other side of, you know, when was in with the actors in the in the actresses, I always I always ask them the one of the first questions I asked him, You know who's been your most favorite movie star of a lot of time to work with on Set On And they always say, Wow, that's a really good question And then they always say, You know, for example, Julie Robinson. Then they get into a story about you know what? What it was like working with Julia Roberts. So so and so So it's always good. It's always good to listen to the what what they're like, what that celebrities like. And you know what the backgrounds being like and getting the working, you know, in Austin, wicked movies. I think you said you're getting usedto asking these celebrities and it is becoming a little bit easier. But is there a skill that you realized that you need to do this sort of thing that you needed to develop a little bit better and focus in on? Is there something that you realized? Oh, I need to get a little bit better in this, and this would be a skill that I can have. Well, yeah, that's a good question. I am after when the actor, when we first resumed with our first of with our first celebrity, I said I said to myself, Wow, you know what? I can really build mo mentum off this bond...

...and and I just kept sending in miles out to, like movie agencies. I mean, like, the I mean, like the agents and and media people. I mean, like, the actors media like the PR assistance, like the assistance. And I said, Hey, you gotta meet Frankie and Dylan. You know, you can't You can't mess that run missing us. Frankie will give you the That's well, whether reports of our time and, you know, you just can't You just can't miss out talking to us, you know? And and then we got 2nd 2nd email back, 30 email, back forth, email and just kept on, you know, mo mentum was gaining, and I was very inspired by inspired by that. Yeah, with reaching out to other people, was it for you with out the experience just kind of hit or miss at different places and different heights of people like So if you're talking, the celebrity is the height. But then you have their manager PR person. Public relations. Is it just your randomly at first pointing to these people? And then you're getting a better idea who you should target? How? Yeah, exactly. Yeah, yeah, like one of my one of our favorites, I think, resumed with was was My name was making Kavanaugh. She played Moloch huge in the league of their own man, one of the best one of the best baseball movies of all time. There's no crying in baseball like Tom Hanks says. That's no crying in baseball. Yeah, so And yes, So he's a small reason with Moloch. Marla Hooch making Kavanaugh played Marla Hooch and she even had her own. Bob had teams, so thank you showed up his bob had she was throwing up also. Yes, So I mean, like, I you never know who you never know who's gonna respond to me, uh, to us, like, you know, it always gets me excited, always gets me excited each time when I look in my inbox and it says and I see like an email from From From like a celebrity that says, Yeah, one is him with you. Hey, e. I mean, like, and I go back because i e I always can't remember sometimes who I set out the most to like it because it might be, like, a month from now who have you know, And then they get back back to me and months later And, uh, yeah, it zine Great. I'm interested to because it this will show the dedication in your hard work. How many people are you emailing on average a day or what is the process look like for you? Are you reaching out? Thio? Ah, lot of people every day. I email. Yeah, that's right. You know, I do. I do. I float down a lead, but now, because I know what the Christmas holidays coming up. But I I've been sending out, like, over, like, 20 emails a day, and I send them the article about Frankie and I at the very end of it. And and I say, here's more about Frankie and I below we and then I say, you know, it would really mean a lot to the autism community if you could take the time out of your free time to visit with us and that So that's how we go about. That's why I go about emailing them. And then and then, yeah, I mean, yeah, very successful. Getting a lot of getting email responsibility. It's great. It's a great principle if you want something and it's the way you need to get it is to reach out to people. You're emailing 20 people a day and probably Maura at the height of it, right? And and not Nashville and not shy to do it, because this is what you want. Dylan. Is there something that you would like people to...

...understand about you or the work that you're doing so that they can have a better appreciation for what it is that you're doing? Um, maybe encouraging others do not give up on your dream. Gore's, that's what you're trying to do is to encourage people yes, and be more be more positive, be kindness to others. Never have a bad day. Always, always be happy every single day. Well, Dylan and it's high others to do the same. How do you do that? How do you stay productive. How do you stay? Positive. What? What is your motivating factor? Well, I thought, Well, I've lost over £56 since covert started. So do you know what, Dillon? I wasn't I didn't want to bring that up. But I saw some videos of you with the Thai cats and, like, that's not the same guy I've been seeing for the last several months. Like you're you dropping pounds like bags at what? Yeah. Ah, lot of people would like to know that trick. How did that happen? Because I know a lot of people say, Well, I've gained pounds of a Yeah, yeah, yeah, I've been biking. I've been biking lots. I've bean, uh, being doing cardio in my basement, and I and I go for I go for a lot of walks at night time. Um, and then I eat lots of broccoli. I I eat raspberries, eat, and I eat blueberries. I eat yogurt. And, yeah, like the stuff I was in before, Like, I was in pizza and subway. You know that I'm like, No, I'm cutting this out. So pizza and subways still good, though. Dylan, come on. Oh, yes. I haven't had a for a long time, so I don't miss it too much. So that helps you stay productive. Yeah, very much. And looking during the summer time like, Well, I still want my back now Knock on wood. It's being still good weather wise biking. But I know I'm gonna just closed down biking for the winter at some point, but I bike ride like, three times a day down to the stadium and back. So just to get my mind off things, and does it get a little stressful for you at times, maybe even, I mean, you're getting used to it, but managing, scheduling. You guys have a show. You know, a lot of this is kind of picked up. You know, just a few months ago, you were out of work, basically, and now you have your own TV show? Yeah, I think the I think the most. You know, the most stressful part about about it, I would say, is probably, you know, you know, being, you know, being cooped up in the house, you know, being cooped up, You know? I mean, like, you know, in this new, normal type life right now, you know, not, you know, and not doing like the stuff that you know I did a couple months ago, you know, walking at the Thai Cats or Bulldogs and looking at the cineplex right now like, well, I would have been in my busy season. Right now, Christmas is a busy time. I put the theater and and it's it's crazy that we know Well, we never closed on Christmas at the movie theater, so I mean, like, it's it's a for that part. I'd say It's really that's the most toughest part. I think that that's being a little bit stressed Row And But I've really enjoyed it by taking my mind off things and going for bike rides and exercising and losing all these pounds and getting No Frankie and and Boom have my own show. Two people can relate to that. The stress involved with being cooped up that that's one of the major problems. I think with Cove it just on a side note. Dylan. I was a manager for a basketball team and I wish I was a better basketball player, but I just wasn't and so I like the point guard position is there from the Bulldogs hockey. I even did Cem score clock for...

...hockey, and I was never a good hockey player. Is there a position that you would like to play in hockey or in in the end of it, while the CFL as well of a position that you really like, that you would just, uh I love Thio. I mean, like, I'm not a really good skater, but I'd like Thio if I if I have, will put hockey. I I'd like Thio, maybe be a goalie and make the saves. It would be nice, wouldn't it? Just to make the save, not to let them go by. But what about in football being being a linebacker and maybe sacking the quarterback? You would like to smack somebody a those those linebackers air tough. They There's no mercy. Dylan. What is what is a tool that you use? Maybe now, with zoom on your TV show coming up, or maybe with the the CFL or with the Bulldogs, a tool that helps you stay efficient? Maybe it's maybe it's even your bike, something that helps you do your work really well. Well, um, the best tool is getting getting more used to do in zoom like at first, Like I didn't know. I don't know what Zoom Waas, and and, uh and I didn't even until, like, I zoomed until I assumed a couple of months ago, Frankie and and I'm like, Okay, this is neat. And then And if you're sure, you know, I can, you know, still talk to friends on here and and then and then And then I asked my cousin, you know, how do I How do I take pictures? How do I take pictures on my iPad? Um and she showed me how I do that, and I and I take screenshots, and then I costing me. So my social media. So you begin a lot of better at that. It's a It's a task for anyone. And nowadays, it seems like we really need to know how to use these things. And then you see, like little kids much younger than us, that our do do do, do do It's like second nature to them. Yeah. What is it? If you think going back Dylan of having a job as a dishwasher getting in tow work the very first time, you may have been nervous or, you know, for whatever reasons, you decided to get another position, The Thai cat position, the cineplex position or what? The Bulldogs changing your job. Even now, you're changing a career in this this'll new thing for January. The Dylan and Frankie Show. What advice do you have for people getting into work? Maybe a little scared. Little hesitant, darting work for the very first time. Yeah, I'd say you know what? Don't Don't you know you can have a little You could be a little bit over Spain or what? Don't be sorry going there. Be be yourself and make friends and and say, you know, go introduce yourself. Go introduce yourself. I remember. Or the one the one time, Uh, there were at the cineplex. One of my friends, uh, Paula got hired at the at the movie theater with me. Well, after me, he, uh I got introduced to him on his first train ship when I was walking, and I was sweet, busy sweeping, and one of the cast members bought Paulo go toe to get to introduce me to him and Paul rent out to reach us. Shake my hand, and I said. We don't shake hands around here. We hug it out. That's awesome. But that's right. Being friendly to people and and not being even If you're a little bit shy, don't Don't be too shy to go get a job and to reach out and to connect with people. Yeah. How do you with being so busy? Right. I think you make yourself rather busy, too, because you're always looking for more people to reach out to How How do you separate...

...your work from the things that you may do That air also equally good for you. Like taking a break. When do you turn off the social media and the work part of it? And how have you disciplined yourself, Thio? Make the switch. And just to relax and to put some things down? Um, I'd say I'd say probably, um, right. Probably. You know, it's probably, uh, you know, one of the best breaks, Uh, that, actually, uh, my parents I've ever had the my parents are amazing, by the way. They always drive me around every well, and, you know, I don't drive, but I think, for the most part, like, um, you know, uh you know, looking at the theater or going down to tie cats Oh, and Bulldogs and going to meet, going to meet celebrities are going hockey, going down to hockey games with my dad. You know, they they're they're my They're my show forward. So So? So I gave him a good break during this pandemic, for sure. Because when when? I mean, like, when things when things to go back to I mean, like, beforehand. Like, you know, every single week, I'd say. Okay, I gotta go toe walk. Oh, I gotta I gotta I mean, in this celebrity, I mean the celebrity or so and so Hey, right, it z Yeah, You said you have the great parents, so it's it's good that they are because you probably are very busy. I mean, you do have three when when there's no cold. But you have three jobs, and now you have a TV show. And if you're going out with the family and you have to be back for a zoom call, you okay? I gotta be back at the time schedule, and I'm sure pretty diligent to be on time and all of that most at most periods, So it's good to hear also. How you take a break is you enjoy a football game, you enjoy a hockey game, you enjoy watching a movie, and those are the things that you do to separate your work time from your other choices that you make in your life. Dylan. Is there anything that may be when you were younger, you wish it You wish you would have known, or a mistake that you made that you have learned from that. You would like Thio tell others about that can help us not make the same mistake or know something that would have been helpful for us. No, that's a really good question. Um, I can't you know. I can't. I can't. I can't think of anything. No, no, there's everything seems to be going well, and I think it's It goes along with your positivity, right? Even if something does go wrong, make adjustments and keep moving on. I think that's kind of the theme of what it is that you do. Dylan, can you can You speak of people's character. I think you're you're probably a pretty good judge of people's character, and you're you're working in fields that are professional football, professional hockey. You're seeing people in the Senate Plex. You're meeting celebrities, and you're you're you're probably a pretty good judge of character. How How do you place character in a person's life and how important it is to have your character? Right. Well, I I, um I e get them and e get them engaged into the positive aspect. And And to keep their momentum going and and going stronger each and every single day. Do you find that people think that you're too positive, like, Oh, Dylan, Come on. I could just be upset sometimes. Can I? And like No, no, everything's gonna be okay. No, you don't. You don't fall for it. A You don't take the bait. Don't take the bait. Note. Dylan, do you have any goal?...

So, for your TV show, maybe in particular, is there a particular goal that maybe you and Frankie have? Yeah. Yeah. What? What would you like to see happen? Frankie and I really, really, really, really, really, really want to try. Thio, get Barack Obama on sometime. Okay, That's a great goal. That's a great goal. E Think you guys are on the right path of meeting people in politics and one connection will lead to another and and in no time you probably will do that. It wouldn't surprise me in the year to come. When you guys start your show that Barack Obama is on your show, is there? Is there any sort of? And I don't think you I don't think you did. Is there any sort of adversity some hard thing that you have faced? That was really hard. But you made it out to the other end and you said it was worth the struggle. It was worth the hardship, you know, That's actually good question. Back, back in. Back in high school, I was bullied a lot, and so that was probably one of my hardest things I had to overcome bad, you know? But, you know, look what's come of it, right, you know, And I haven't looked back since, you know? And, you know, even when Frankie, even Frankie has even said, you know, he's mentioned he's gotten bullied, too, and, you know he does not listen to the bullies. He listens to positive people, you know, and I think it's it's a great positive message and there's gonna always be bullies. But it depends on where we put our own focus if we focus on them or if we look forward and keep striving. Dylan, is there any word of encouragement? And you kind of sprinkled or peppered it through this whole interview. But there's people out there that you want to think of 2020 or even before, because life has difficulties. Regardless, if there's a and pandemic going on, people lose family members. People get sick. Some people have terminal illnesses, some people are bullied. Some people go through the list is endless of the difficulties and in terms of my listeners, of people who I would like them to get up and to keep going and to keep on working, because work is good. And as you mentioned, sometimes you goto work. You make a friend, you give a hug, things turn around. Do you have any encouragement for those people who might be feeling a little bit down in their work? Yeah, you know, um, you know, don't don't never have a bad day, you know? Think about think about each day, you know, each day and take it take it and pride and take it in and take it one step at a time. You know, You know, if you know, it makes someone's day. If you say hello. How you doing today? You know, something like that, you know, and or say, Hey, you know what? You look great today or you're doing a great job, you know, you know, and giving good compliments and the, you know and, you know, in coaching, others to do the same. I think Dylan Onley people in the Maritimes would get this. But I think you're a maritime, are at heart. You might even be from Cape Bretton. Or you need to go to Cape Bretton because you'll find a lot of people like that very positive, right? And tell you, Hey, you look good today, you know? And that's that's the kind of the maritime spirit, you know, when I when I'll tell you, actually, um, the first time when I met, I met Sidney Crosby twice the first time. I'll tell you the like I like I mentioned, uh as well. How you know, my mom and dad are the baths. Drive was about time. So the...

...first time I met Crosby. My dad and I drove down all the way down to Buffalo, New York. Keep. I don't even think I was gotten any even though if I was gonna be Crosby, not eso. We start at the back of the arena, and and this was like, we'll stand out in one degree weather. Um, And this was back in March of last year and and Crosby had hold from one of the coaches that I was outside waiting for him at the back of arena. So the bus is packed. The bus was parked in the back parking lot fence then so I can't even get to the back of the bus even if I tried it. Unless I want to get tackled by security. Right. So So, Sir Crosby, you know, I could have gotten on the bus, but he walked straight over to me and said, Hey, great to meet you. What's your name? And he was very, very nice. That's the maritime. Er, yes, absolutely. And then, actually, and then this year, just rate before the pandemic at, um, I wrote a letter to the pets book media, Penguins Department on. I said Hey, I met Cosby last year. I gave him a tiger pat hat this year. I really want to give them a Tiger cat football helmet and eso. So I got an email back, probably about a month later, and they said, Hey, Dylan, you know, Crosby's out of the lineup right now. He's injured. But when when he comes back, we can revisit and and see if we can make it happen. So it was back and yeah, back and back this march, March the fifth. Believe for March. The thought and, uh, my dad. I went down into the morning skate and, uh, gave cars the the Taco Cat helmet helmet. And then he gave me, Gave me start hockey stick. And then, like 33 games later. Oh, room everything track to happen. Yeah, that was unfortunate that that's great, that you had those experiences, and I really hope that you keep having them and there's there's no I think you will have those experiences because you bring inspiration.
